We, the Body of Christ, invite others to celebrate Eucharist with us so that they too may become the Body of Christ. In doing this, we invite them to participate in Christ's death and resurrection so that they may share this new life with others. When we call them to join us in Communion, we call them to unity with all Christians in Christ. Thus, we celebrate this sacrament within a regular community Mass on Saturday evening or Sunday.
First Eucharist for Children
About the Program - All children in grades 2 and up who are enrolled in Catholic School or Religious Education, and have been for at least one year prior, are invited to prepare for this Sacrament. Preparation for First Eucharist is done at home, with supporting curriculum in our parish school and religious education program. The sacramental preparation process begins in September and runs throughout the school year until Easter. Individual, small group and large group celebrations are offered during the Easter season for reception of the Sacrament.
